The struggle to preserve these refuges is not over. The full potential of these refuges can be realized only with the continued commitment and support of the public.  Our purpose is to provide that support by promoting educational and environmental projects that, without assistance, could not be accomplished solely through the efforts of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
